Be part of the magic.

Are you an experienced entertainer who loves the renaissance faire? You’re in luck! The Massachusetts Renaissance Faire is looking for actors to fill out their cast for this summer’s Faire held at the The Cummington Fairgrounds in Cummington, MA on August 5-6 and 12-13.

We need energetic, enthusiastic actors who love to dress up and make magic happen.

Due to travel limitations, we will be conducting auditions online on Saturday, April 8th. Fill out a form to receive a timeslot.

Requirements: Actors must be punctual to rehearsals, dedicated, and able to entertain patrons for an entire festival day. Actors must also be able to attend both days on both weekends.

Roles

KING OBERON- ( male 21+) King of the Summer Court, knowledgeable but often looking for amusements.

THISTLE, the KING’S ASSISTANT- (male/female 18+) an ambitious, knowledgeable #2 with a jealous streak

GARY, a MORTAL- (male 18+) A rather sullen, dour guy from the early 2000’s who got sucked into the Crystal Realm after staying at the faire too long. Now finds himself back at the Market of the Moons seemingly only a year later…

PUCK/ROBIN GOODFELLOW- (male/female 18+) impish satyr. Fears mortals, but LOVES messing with them

FERN- (male/female 18+) ambiguous fae. Sassy friend of PUCK- loves to egg him on AND get him in trouble

LORD JULIUS EMBERBORNE (male 21+) Dragonlord of the Crystal Realm. Haughty and Demanding

SIR/DAME OSHENI FIREMIST (male/female 18+) Dragon Knight and appointed muscle to LORD EMBERBORNE

-Volunteer Faeries/Dragonkin for Depth and Color Cast- Depth and Color Cast do not have speaking roles in the Acts, but are given a character to portray throughout the day. They assist with the setting of the faire by playing a costumed role and interacting with patrons.
